Attorney Mary Garippo practices civil litigation, workers’ compensation, appellate law, and administrative law and review.
She has degrees from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Suffolk University Law School, where she received honorable distinctions for both oral and written advocacy. Mary also completed the Program for Women in Politics and Public Policy at the University of Massachusetts-Boston.
Mary served the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in various roles, including the Department of Industrial Accidents, the Commission Against Discrimination, the House of Representatives and at Suffolk Superior Court. During law school, she also worked for a prominent civil litigation law firm.
During her time practicing administrative law, she argued numerous cases on appeal, including Pillman’s Case, which was named by Massachusetts Lawyers’ Weekly as a Most Important Opinion of the Year. Mary was named as a Super Lawyers’ Rising Star on multiple occasions.
Mary is active in the civic life of Boston as well as with the legal profession. She has been involved with the Legislative Policy and the Women in the Courtroom Committees of the Women’s Bar Association. Mary has been a past faculty member for Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education and contributed to its written materials. She served as a volunteer for the Boston Public Schools for many years.
